David Avocado Wolfe Effect

David Avocado Wolfe, self styled “rock star and Indiana Jones of the superfoods and longevity universe,” has a meme for every occasion and many people have probably reposted at least one of them.

What few realise is that this is part of an approach to promote some rather unscientific ideas and to sell some product.

There is now the #DontCryWolfe campaign to encourage people to not share his anti science memes.

Perhaps Wolfe’s most eyebrow raising claim is his proprietary “longevity zapper” electrical “square wave healing device,” which purportedly fights infections and cancer cells alike while leaving “negatively-charged healthy cells intact” for a low low price of $297.
