Bad faith over ethics – Nile’s undue influence

Rev Fred Nile has exerted indie influence over the education system in New South Wales,  Australia. Nile objects to ethics being given the same status as scripture for students in public schools.

Ethics was added to enrollment forms to counter the obvious point that the government was ushering Christian fundamentalist style religion into state schools.

Parents obviously liked the alternative prompting Nile, a small party senator,  to respond with a sweet heart deal with the government to remove ethics as a choice. Now parents must actively opt their child out of Scripture classes to find out about alternatives!
